As a dude, if I ever truly was a "dude": in love four times (or my idea of love)

As a woman: in truth, one time, and I'm still in love with him and miss him so very much.

Thanks for the liks to your very cool site Melissa. The photography is extensive, as is your taste in art.

You are clearly a joyful exhibitionist, and love liberating your body to the fresh air. You seem to celebrate being different, which is completely refreshing, as so many t-girls and their male partners are constantly in fear of being 'sprung'.

could think of lots of things to discuss with you, but won't hog the space now.

MEL,

You repeatedly say your idea of love, and I've only really heard that type of concept a few vague times, while yours is more pronounced. What is your idea of love, and is it different from the norm in a non-gendered way? If you have difficulty putting it in words let me know, and I'll put it in a standardized form that can be added to. subtracted from, and/or compared to.

You appear to be an open book, which is why I don't feel you'd feel uncomfortable being asked personal questions. So, that's why I don't feel intrusive by touching you in this matter, or if you want to squeeze me for an answer (s) feel free.

Just out of curiosity, Mel, if I asked the question in a different way: how many times in love as the feminine-role partner? This isn't a question of how many women or men or as a trans woman, and not trans lesbian or with a mannish woman. There are so many combinations out there.

It's that "in truth" once as a woman, when in your life story you say he when referring to many individuals you were in love with. It sounds like you started out as the man and male-role partner to the man and female-role partner to the woman and female-role partner.

I hope I didn't confuse you, because you appear to be extremely intelligent. Love is my favorite subject, and not many people do it multiple times.

Well, honestly that was a bit confusing.

Let's keep it simple: I was a boy and lived a boy's life, and during that time fell in love with four women. Then things started changing. I felt my femininity. I realized this was going to be life-changing not some passing phase or fetish I could hide in the closet. As I began transition my preference changed too. I became very attracted to men, and was only interested in a relationship where I was the woman. No other bitch could have that role but me. And I rekindled my desire for love again, and found it with one man thus far.

Now let's not confuse romance with sex. I'm still bisexual and the right woman can still easily gain my attention. But that's about sex, not love. And my preference sexually is to be all woman to a strong dominant hetero male.

Thank you kindly. My website is essentially a catalogue of my mind & body. It is a deep site. I estimate, if you were to look at every page, every picture and read every story it would take about six hours.

Here's a painting I made in the early 90's (before my gender change began):

I am quite proud of this painting. Hope you like.

MEL,

Thanks for deciphering my trying to clarify my question, while I was trying not to be unintentionally insultive.

Having something very remotely similar in my past, that is that I'm bisexual, while only acting on the hetero side. I also was turned off and not attracted to men until I was 21.

You traveled down that road. At what point from where you started to CD to where you are now did you become attracted to men? What was your first CD experience--like lipstick only?

My first experience with a man was nine years old, when I was sexually abused by my babysitter. He would go on to abuse me almost twenty more times. My innocence was taken, and although damaged I found it strangely curious and exciting to be desired by a man, and to feel like a woman.

So my fascination was there right from the start, before my teenage years, and this might explain my bleak outlook. To me,there was always some darker side that could not be seen at a glance. That's heavy stuff for a 10-yr old kid.

While I did have gay encounters and knew I was bi, I didn't fully explore that part till deep in transition. My "CD" period was brief, lasting maybe a year and a half. I quickly shifted to hormones and life as a woman. There are many that choose to stop short of that, but for me it was all or nothing. That's why changing my name and becoming prominent in the community is important. There is nothing left of my former male life, it is an empty vacant building. I transferred it all over, but I understand for many they are heavily invested in their male identity.

It was never sexually-based. I was drawn to how I felt inside, the clothes were meaningless. Therein lies the difference between TS and CD. For TS it's about how we feel internally, and for CDs it's expression of their femininty through clothes and (often) acting out sexually.

Default Hi Again

MEL,

Thank you SO much, sweet face.

I didn't know the difference--or that there was one--between being trans and being TV. Your explanation was clear and simple w/ your usual articulateness.

Do you think anyone could be into both the inner feminine aspect; like you, and the outer appearance, as well?

Do you wish you started to transition 5 years or so sooner?

I believe that all TS incorporate their enjoyment of feminine attire into their lives. The great distinction between TS and CD is that it's not about "the look" it's about the feeling, or more succintly, the identity. See, for TS we have no other life to fall back on, this is our only identity.

As for starting earlier, fuck yea, I wish I started at sixteen. Then again, given my loose behavior I probably would have been dead by twenty. There are Divine reasons greater than we can explain for why we do what we do when we do it.

I'm just grateful to have found my calling at all, and let's face it, in the world of porn and escorting I'm already an old lady!

Melissa, nice to have you here. I have to agree with you, at least for me. My transition had really nothing to do with either sex or dressing up. Really, I had plenty for sex prior and could easily have led a "secret life" as a CD. Cripes, I suppose I could have become a drag queen (except I never did learn how to apply makeup THAT well).

It's a part of being Trans that I think lots of people overlook. The clothes and hair and sex are all fine and dandy... but the moment my body started to match up with how I always thought it should have been was the real relief and the moment my life started to turn around.

I have breast implant surgery and a minor upper lip lift scheduled this fall. I do not foresee any future augnmentations. I am a non-op and unless my entire vision changes, will never have SRS. The thought of cutting my penis off is a total horror. I like my anatomy, and my cock is easily tuckable. In public day-to-day no one knows what's in my panties, it's my private business. Everything works perfect, I don't want to mess with it.

It is a misnomer that TS reach a "completion" point. We will always have ongoing maintenance, like electrolysis, laser, the occasional injectable filler, Botox, etc...so in essence our work is never done

Thanks for asking!

BIONCA,

Don't a lot of drag queens overdo the cosmetics in a cartoonish or clownish manner? Though I did meet one once that even knowing her gender before meeting her at a party, I still couldn't tell by looking. I wanted to believe my eyes.

The term "drag queen" always offended me, not implying you are calling me that, simply making a distinction between a true transwoman and a drag queenie. They always repulsed me. To me drag queens are basically gay guys. I feel they do the trans community a disservice. Cartoonish is a good word.

The idea of a surgical knife piercing any area down there is as repulsive as it would be to a man. I see my anatomy down South as "complete and whole" and not requiring change.

MEL,

I think it used to be, and in some segments of society still is, a one-size-fits-all term. So, the person I met wasn't a drag queen, but a term I hadn't heard of yet. Sometimes, trying to put the past into the present w/ terminology isn't in sync.

In fact, I cannot say that any or many of the t-girls on this site are drag queens.

MEL,

You kind of grow attached to that attachment, don't you?

The thought of losing it is like losing an arm or finger.

You're talented, sharp and more than skin deep. Intriguing poem, by the way.

Right now I'm reading your (life's timeline) story. I think its very interesting. I differ about your comment on Courtney Love though. I pretty much like her. She is such a ruthless, shameless and upfront person!

Default A superb story

Melissa,
I just finished reading your story.
http://melissacarter.net/melissastory.html
Its magnificent. The ups and downs, as you have described them are very touching. "Something happened and I don't know what. Something changed." Wow! It almost broke my heart. You've been through soooo much! Its seems like you have lived many lives in a single lifetime!

I wish you good.

P.S.: You should write an autobiography. It will be popular; Honestly speaking.

You are such a sweetheart. It's true, I look back on earlier moments in my life and it seems as if it were someone else's life. I feel like a vampire, like my skin should be shriveled and old, after all I have seen. If only I could live on blood and souls, and not the earthly addictions of food and water.

I am, in fact, writing a book, which is a disguised biography. It's called "Plan Z", which refers to a lifetime of failed plans and the final Plan Z, which is really no plan at all.

Vampirical, eh? Like in your poem Dangerous and deviant, you say:

I'll snuff out your soul

I also saw your graveyard fun pictures. :D no kidding, they're hot.
I saw your sketch with a cock, and liked it. Have you tried your hands on some vampire-gothic sketch. I'm sure with your intriguing expressionism, it'll turn out to be most interesting.

Thank you, sesame. That is one of my favorite lines;. I also like this one:

Intelligent, witty
I come across dumb
If I said that I love you
I was just having fun

And this line is equally dark:

I am criminally sane
I'll make killers complain
I'm so dangerous and deviant
So simple and plain

As I continue to recover from drug addiction I am starting to write again. So look out for new short stories and poems.
