A similar thing is true of Alaska, it's actually just a film set in Canada, the US government made the whole thing up to try and reassure the American public that they still had some natural resources. All the Alaskan resources are brought from China, they also provide most of the cast to play the Alaskan people. Sarah Palin is actually played by two Chinese midgets in a suit.

This is hilarious and might just explain some things. Maybe I am in my own Truman Show scenario. Yours is quite funny as well smc.
But putting that aside it would be funny--and awkward--to learn that some friend on mine is a member of this forum.
