Born the year before me. And here I am, commenting on this, one year later. I guess I am lucky enough not to be trans or live in rough neighbourhoods where your very existence may constantly be at stake due to fear, hate, corruption, jealousy, confusion, religio-societal sexual repression, the male ego and misunderstanding -- a dreadful, vile cocktail. I'm not sure I recognize Candy, but she was clearly gorgeous, sassy and vibrant. This, no doubt, is the kind of news every trans-person and trans-lover fears hearing. Rest in peace.
