Now this is where "Hollywood" really, really gets me going!! Re-making classic, and I mean CLASSIC movies!!
Near Dark is a horror masterpiece! It is quite possibly the first and still best "modern vampire movie"!! No capes, no bats, no fly-eating go-fers!
And what a cast...re-uniting
Lance Hendrickson,
Bill Paxton and
Jenette Goldstein from ALIENS, and also starring an under-rated actress,
Jenny Wright (her last movie was Lawnmower Man-1992!!!???).
Ah yes..the Hollywood Re-Make!! Manchurian Candidate!!
Fail-Safe!!
There are alot more that did not need to be re-made!!
That said, there are a some that, for a multitude of reasons, were very, very good in their re-worked, re-imagined form.
