Most times someone posts in this thread I resist the temptation to write something, but it finally has gotten to the point where I can no longer resist.

I would simply like to make the following point. Yes, by its very nature there is objectification involved in pornography, and this site is, ultimately, a porn site. However, some of the comments when we get into identifying our personal likes and dislikes are bothersome.

For example, it's one thing to say that one finds one's self more attracted to Thai ladyboys than to Brazilian shemales, or that one is more turned on by dark skin than by light, or whatever one's personal preference might be. The kinds of broad generalizations that suggest white transwomen "most often still look the most manly" are really ridiculous, in my opinion. So too is the idea that someone from a different part of the world has an "irritating sounding accent" that is exacerbated by the fact that the women "likes to talk" (heaven forbid the woman should be allowed to talk). And how awful it must be that girls pick the "ugliest men" (remember, beauty, and hence ugliness, is in the eye of the beholder).

I think it best if in a discussion of this sort we stick to the physical attributes that we find attractive and steer clear of the sorts of characterizations that could very easily be interpreted as ... well ... I'm sure anyone who reads this post seriously can fill in the blank.
