It may help a few of us to define the differences before any of us newbies unintentionally insult anyone. And please forgive me if I have insulted anyone by asking these questions now.

1-Do we refer all Trans genders, femboys, traps and CD's as 'She' / 'Her' etc?
2-What ,if any, differences are there between femboys, traps and CD's?
3-Are CD's 'graduated' older femboys, traps?
4-Is there a difference between Traps & Femboys?
5-Is using terms like 'Tranny' instead of Transgender an insult?

Anything else we should be more aware of, please help us out here. With all the beautiful people here, I'd hate to be thrown out of the Trans ladyboy enrollment. I see an available message/mail tab, If some answers are either too difficult to answer here or if too long to post, how do I register for 'mail' to receive longer replies/explanations?
1. Not always. Some femme boys may be gay and are actually guys but effeminate gay guys. Traps are usually younger and passable Trans girls so she would probably be appropriate. CD's? Most don't Cross dress in public and if do then use the appropriate pronoun so f dressed as a woman the then female pronouns.

2. Refer to number one. When it comes to cross dressing then when it comes to a psychological level, it is a form of stress relief for some guys. J Edgar Hoover was supposedly a cross dresser. Again to me and terminology then femboys would be more or less younger gay guys that are effeminate. Traps are usually younger trans women or trans girls that pass really well ALAS the word Trap.

3. Traps and Femboys, refer to the first two answers.

4. Yes being called a Tranny or Shemale is usually derogatory. But I am a realist and know that most people's perceptions of us comes from the porn industry and it just so happens that these are the labels they use. I prefer trans woman but whatever. As long as it is respectful then no harm no foul and I will correct someone. If it is meant as an insult then it is rather insulting. So those labels have totally different meanings as to how the person saying them means them.

Plus you have to take into account at how many of us are too scared to come out and that causes us quite a bit of dysphoria. Gender Identity Dysphoria is bitch and why so many Trans genders are so sensitive to some of these labels. So if in doubt ask the person nicely what pronouns they prefer. Dressed masculine and so on can be confusing since FTMs are not as prevalent as MTFs and Butch Lesbians dress masculine so that can be confusing. What man dresses feminine, willing to wear their hair feminine and shave their legs and so on and willing to go through all the other shit unless they are female?

But whatever, just always be respectful and it will go a long way. I mean I know who I am. I am a trans woman. I am a tranny, I am a shemale and these labels don't bother me because I know where they come from. But I would hope that if we ever met on the street you would at least be respectful. Even if you ask or use these labels.

Does that make sense? Does that kind of educate you on how we feel. Beware though. There are so so so many of us that are way overly sensitive when it comes to labels.
