I have told my story elsewhere here, but it was in junior high... I was watching a TV show with the German trans-artist Romy Haag and felt this amazing attraction to her. An attraction of a different nature than experienced ever before.
Then for many years nothing happened (Denmark is not exactly boiling over with transsexual women). I too remember a porn magazine with a trans woman, and yes, she did it too :-)
So not until I came to Asia did I actually act on my attraction - but once I did... Oh boy...
All I can say is that if you THINK you have an attraction to transsexual women, then you most likely do. And hopefully you can one day be in a situation where you have the guts to follow your needs and hopefully bring it further than just a sexual attraction.
