It is reprehensible that such a name tag be required. However, I must take issue with Randolph's contention that a person's gender has nothing to do with the interaction between a flight attendant and a passenger. Were I the passender and my flight attendant was a cute Thai transwoman, my effort for the duration of the flight to join the "Mile High Club" with her would have EVERYTHING to do with her gender!
