Got to agree with charrett. many have clearly visible scars. Then again, in effect there is not a great difference for a girl to have her balls surgically removed or "just" shrunk to next to nothing. They won't be recoverable once they have actually stopped the production of hormones. The essential tissues will be too severely damaged to be of any use in future, in particular if the damage was caused by direct injections or mechanical means. Just like after castration with a burdizzo it is very likely that the balls will eventually disappear completely by gradual absorbtion of the dead cells leaving only scar tissue behind.
