Help a guy out?
I need help. This is a rare occasion where I actually want people to talk to me like I am an idiot. Because about this stuff I am!
I don't know how to download videos from the internet then burn them to a disk so I can play them in my DVD player.
And I know this computer can do so. That's because my exfiance would make disks this way. But she never taught me how and she is no longer around.
Right now my pc has no program for downloading. Back then Ares was on it. I figured out how to work the program to get vids but it is not on my pc no more. And I am not sure how to get it. Is it is free download somewhere? Is there something better?
I also know a little. Seems you have to keep an eye on the file format like AVI or MPG or such. Something about coverting software could help. The ex told me a little about that. I tried once to burn a video to a disk but it didn't work. All I could do was eat up memory on my pc with a bunch of ones I saved.
But still, she knew how. She'd take him off the net, put them on a disk, and we could watch them on my tv via the DVD player. She even could put a DVD menu on them.
And I cant! It's maddening! So please, if anyone can help me with this frustrating thing please do. And please speak in terms a cretin can understand. I need to start from zero, getting the program, etc.
