The only reasonable use of the term "fake" in regards to transsexuality must be the PhotoShopped images.

You cannot classify transgendered people in terms of fake or right or wrong. Remember that for most transsexual women (and men for that matter) it's a transsitional process that for most start in hiding and slowly progresses.

Some may truly want to come out full time in the open but due to societal pressure they cannot. That doesn't make her less transsexual at all. Or she may be totally happy about her male-side and only occasionally feels a need to transform.

By my humble experience there probably are as many ways to be trans as there are trans people. Each person struggles to find his or her own balance in a society that is far from sympathetic in its views on trans life. There's still a long way ahead before lay people can accept and appreciate the poetic beauty, strength and courageousness of transsexuality.
