What's different between transexual and transvestite?
 

Dear someone,

I'm new to dis world...even I did walk on my way since I was 13 years old.
Too be ladyboy.

I didn't understand that clear...about some words to call some people like me.

Am I a transexual...or am I a transvestite?
and what's about transgender...

If I'm a pre-operation ladyboy who always live my life as a real woman as I can be. How can I call myself?
(I've plan to do operation one day...)

How can I find someone who just prefer to love me and can accept what I am,...
if, now, I'm still have my peanut but I don't want to use it in anyway?

A transexual is a person who changed, or is changing to the other sex
A transvestite is a person who dress up like as the other sex

I certainly hope you can find a man who can love you for what you are. Your sound so sweet.

Regarding the terms:

"Transvestite" (or crossdresser) is a person who dresses up like the opposite sex.

"Transsexual" is a person who identifies as the opposite sex. Some transsexuals have an operation (post-op), others do not (pre-op/non-op). Transsexuality is as such not a matter of how you look and dress but rather how you feel inside. You can say that transsexuality happens "between the ears" more than "between the legs".

"Transgender" is an overall term referring to anyone who full-time or part-time changes their gender. Both transvestites and transsexuals are as such transgendered.

The terms "ladyboy" and "shemale" are not as clearly defined but mostly they refer to transsexuals. Very few transvestites would refer to themselves as such.
