Difference?

Is there a difference between a shemale and a transexual? How bout a femboy and a ladyboy?

franalexes 12-30-2008 03:52 PM

yes. There is a mental and personality difference. Please do a search. This has been answered on several other threads.
On a porn site , perhaps there is no difference. In real life, there is.

sorry

ok sorry, didn't mean to multi thread like that, I'll search

ohsoabused 12-30-2008 04:24 PM

searched..

So, I searched. When I searched I found the answer to one question.

A shemale/transexual is the full blown transformation, guy - girl, might still have penis but will eventually have it removed.

transvestite - crossdresser who wears makeup and grows hair out, Would a transvestite get implants, and never have the penis removed, or not?

Femboy - guy who wears girlpants and clothes, basically just crossdresser but all the time.

XDresser - someone who dresses in clothes of opposite gender just to get off.

Well, I see alot of shemales on this site for the M2F transformation, is there anyone on this site going through a F2M transformation?

transjen 12-30-2008 04:39 PM

Keep in mind that not every M2F Tgirl plans to go all the way  Jennifer

mmmhmmm...

Yeah I kind of figured, alot of them do it just to get their rocks off with male equipment.

I think if I ever transformed I would have to go with breast implants and growing my hair out, I like my cock too much. Also, I wouldn't be able to sleep with guys only other T-Girls and Women, sorry, I love pussy too much.

"shemale" is a term created by men in the porn industry to sell to a market. SOME trans*women have adopted the term and some firmly reject it. For many of us the word is problematic due to it's ties to sex work and male fetishization, not to mention Dr Janice Raymond's Feminist anti-trans book was titled "The Transsexual Empire: the Making of the SheMale". This book was used by Congress to justify not covering trans-related treatments by Medicare/aid. This decision was then used by the insurance industry to the same end. Thus, creating a class of woman who needs to resort to sex work to afford surgeries and hormones to fix her body and ultimately likely save her life.

In short, on a site like this where sex and porn are the main draw "Shemale" is expected. In real life with real live Trans*women that would is a land mine.

Wow, that is an awesome piece of knowledge. Great, and horrible at the same time.

I do suppose that fact alone affects the life of nearly every transwoman imaginable.

Hmmm... Sorry for using the word somuch, but it's become habit from surfing and searching for vids and stuff.

Well, pretty much yes - I could have bought a new car with the money I spent on my face. Every penny paid out of pocket. Because the surgeries are considered "experimental" (after nearly 30 years of being developed) and/or "cosmetic" they are both pretty costly as well as unassisted.

... and insurance will pay for the little blue erection pills for the guys *sigh*

Thank you Bionca, you've just learned me. I've always wondered the difference between all the names and/or categories of the trans-women and I am now a little more eduicated. :respect:
