How to keep everything working as a non-op MtF?

Hi everyone!

I'm new here and just starting my transition.

Does anyone know what you have to do keep the penis and prostate intact through transition? Information on this has been kind of hard to find, and I want to make sure that I can enjoy sex as much as I could before the lady-pills.

There MUST be a 100% surefire way! Care to share what you know? ;)

Well as I am dating a transwoman now I can tell you this:
Your testicles will shrink as you consume the hormones, however
my girlfriend can still get a hardon and can still climax and she has
been on hormones quite a while so she has breasts and somewhat
wide hips.
I will ask her some questions when I meet her tomorrow and perhaps
I can give some more information.

Most pre-op ts women loose most/all erectile function after a couple of years on Hormone Replacement Therapy HRT.
Sex working ts women often minimise this HRT effect by cycling the hormones:
Two months use then two months off HRT and / or having testosterone injections or patches.
Doing this also makes the HRT less effective in feminising their bodies.
It slows down the changes. And fucks up their minds so they turn loopy. (personal observations)

Also HRT shrinks the size of your cock.
This can be minimised by masturbating once or more a day.

Lots of the loss of sexual function is in the mind. As in how you feel about yourself.
I've been on consistent high dose of HRT for 6+ years.
Climaval {Estradiol Valerate} @ 6 mg / day [3 tablets per day]
Finasteride {5mg tablets} @2.5 mg / day. [? tablet per day]
Yes I get very, very hard when turned on.
Nothing comes out after 2 years of HRT.
Also remember the shrinkage thing.
Full on erections are really painful - they hurt.

So now you know.
Enjoy!

YMMV in regards to effect of hormones on functionality.

The biggies you can do without messing with your hormones:

1) If you want to maintain fluid production, don't tuck tightly, especially during heat waves. (I didn't buy this one at first, but my endo pitched this to me and damned if he wasn't right)

2) Use it regularly... the longer you go without using it the more likely you will lose it.

The ONLY sure way to stay completely functional is not to do HRT! Surgery perhaps?

"Been there, done that"!

My close transsexual friend said this very same thing. She has been on hormones for quite a few years and has no difficulty at all getting hard.

But.......she feels good about herself and loves using her treasure.
