*shrug* american politics i don't get em. i live in australia and our election has already been, which you have no doubtedly heard of. we kicked john howard out of office by a land slide (about damn time) and elected Kevin Rudd as our new Prime Minister. I don't understand what all of the different parties in USA are

Haha.. I think I'm one of the few people that read it correctly by chance. The status of American politics is in unfortunate shape after the past 8 years, but unlike a lot of people I'm not so quick to place all the blame on 'Dub as this huge crap-ball's been rolling for quite some time now. This upcoming election is probably going to be one of the more important one's in history since our nation is at a crossroads, both at home and abroad. One thing is for sure though, change must happen. Personally, I believe that Barack Obama is the only candidate that can bring about this societal and political revolution that is so desperately needed, and I am generally a devout Republican so that's saying a lot. And, just because it needs to be said, I have no qualms with the fact that Hillary Clinton is a woman and would wholly support a female candidate who principles and policies I agreed with... and at this point in time I just don't believe that she is that person.
