Hmmmmm. My idea of a perfect evening would probably be at either of these locations; a beach or a more secluded area close to the edge of town. For it to be a special evening, it has to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Airplanes and honking horns don't really set the mood for me.

On the beach is nice if it is away from local businesses because then you don't have all the light pollution. People forget just how relaxing that a picnic dinner on the beach during a moonlit or starlit night can be. Most beaches have patrols nowadays but there are spots where they can't go where you can sleep at night and that is above the tide. A night on the beach in your lovers arms can feel so elysian!

A semi-forrested/forrested area can also provide the same comforts as a night on the beach; just substitute the sounds of the waves with chirping crickets. No city noises or light pollution can do wonders for the human spirit.

If at home, a nice dinner with soft instrumentals, R&B or some lite rock(like Bryan Adams) with the lights turned down low and some multi-colored LED lights glowing are nice. Follow that with a hot bubble bath with your lover. For the bubble bath, a few candles(not too many mind you; this is a retreat, not a dungeon) of the aromatic type(like apple or lavender) do well but for me, I prefer a few chemlights, either blue or green chemlights because when they are in the water they give off a gentle glow and blue is known for its relaxing properties.
