To present a lighter mood than I have been lately, here is a list of things that I miss since transitioning. Some of them are serious, some silly, all of them are true.
1) Walking alone at night
2) Going to a Str8 club unescorted
3) Pants with proper pockets
4) Clothing sizes that actually tell me if something will fit
5) Men looking me in the eye when we talk
6) Men not taking eye-contact as flirtation
7) Having my opinions about non-trans stuff taken seriously
8) Not having to explain to banks, credit cards, employers why some of my documentation doesn't all match up.
9) Guys appreciating it when I beat them at a game
10) Not being the tallest woman in a photograph
11) Belching REALLY loudly and nobody saying anything
12) Staying friends with guys I've had sex with but aren't currently dating
13) Guys buying me birthday presents that AREN'T underwear
14) Telling guys I'm a bottom..and them respecting that
15) Changing in the men's locker room at the gym *grin* *halo*

Hi there.
Things i miss...
Getting ansewers to my posts, although i DO like having the last word.
Not having my head ripped off for venting a little.
I guess that'll do for a start.

What about things that you have gained since your transition? Surely there must be something.

Is this directed at me? If I missed answering one of your posts, it was unintentional - I like our discussions.
If it seems I'm ripping your head off, also not intended. I'm very specific when I'm ripping into someone, and as far as I can remember you haven't given me cause.
If this was not directed at me, and rather general statements... nevermind ;)

Yup... I was going to bust this list out later, but since you asked:
Things I Don't Miss:
1) Getting punched in the arm as a greeting
2) Guys expecting me to know what the hell they are talking about
3) Listening to sexist "jokes"
4) Feeling like a failure for not being "macho"
5) Stricter expectations for gender conformity
6) Hating my body
7) Feeling like I'm an actor playing a role
8) Bartenders snickering when I order drinks made in a blender
9) Having a choice between dark blue, black, or kaki pants
10) Having to shave my face every day

Hi there.
No it wasn't, it was directed at pretty much everybody, but i'm glad to see that our exchanges are mutually enjoyable.

Hi there.
I started a thread i called "Posting VS Pictures" i vented a bit about the limit and asked how the limit was calculated...
Well, i got alot of flack about the venting, but next to no info on how the limit was calculated, i had only my own stats to work with, even after specifying that i was WAY more interested in the math of the limit than the little venting i had done, still i got my head ripped off, and still very little info or starts about how the limit was calculated.
And i posted on many threads and sometimes i asked questions and i waited and waited and waited and still no ansewers and i saw the the person had posted elsewhere, so it is possible they forgot, once or twice, but it happens way too often, i always go back to my posts and see what other people have to say, as far as i'm concerned it's simple common curtesy.
I am self-employed where i can go on the internet as i please while my CPU's do the work, so i can reply more quickly, and i understand some people are more tied to the clock than i am, but they took the time to post once, shouldn't they follow through on their responces and ansewers?

Hi there.
You miss sexist jokes!
How about this one:
Why do men wear ties?
Because it's more elegant than a leash.
I KNEW you'd like that one.
I know it was things you DIDN'T miss.
