I have never meet a TRANSMAN [F2M] and there numbers are few, So that's a good question but i dout if any are on this site to answer your question , I went the other way but i would think starting would be the same butthe hormones would be differnt and time wise i would have no idea. But it took me almost five years start to finish but a lot of the time was due to lack of funds for surgey. Jennifer

:frown: Perhaps removed is not the proper term, But i now have no sign of having one so perhaps i should have said i had it made smaller but to me it is like it was removed  Jennifer

I don't really know anything about F2M. I know there are a few out there, but I don't know anything about how they would do that.

1) Yes the process is the same - they take shots of synthetic Testosterone.
2) Yes and no. The way T works on the body is much stronger and permanent than estrogen. It will change bone structure and increase body hair in ways that estrogen cannot do (for M2F). However, genitalia is much more difficult to reproduce for f2m's as there is no good way to make a perfectly functioning penis at this point in time.
So, the ability to blend as a man is easier generally and earlier (and less expensive) - so social transition is quicker. However, if the desire is to posses a penis, the results are debatable within the trans male community.
