Hi,
I searched through the group's 20 pages of threads, and found the question "How do I become a shemale?" asked and partially answered many times, but none of the responses addressed my specific question, so I'm posing my background and question to the lovely ladies and gentlemen in the group.
I'm a 26 year old prehormones transwoman. I have a good job, a lot of money saved up, and I live in California just 80 miles outside of San Francsico. I know for sure I want to transition, as I have been dressing and having a public social life and identity as a woman for over 5 years now. The only place I am still a boy is at work. I want to transition, but I want the option of having my penis function the same as it does now. I want soft skin and shiny hair and boobs and fat on my ass and hips. How do the porn girls do it? I'm open to the idea of not taking hormones and just having surgeries, but how or where could I find a surgeon willing to perform the surgeries without my being on hormones? Do you think there are any psychotherapists out there who would reccommend surgery without hormones?

Can one transition without HRT? Absolutely yes. Keep in mind that there are Trans*women who have various medical conditions that would make HRT dangerous or ineffective. While I have no personal experience with transitioning without hormones, and the topic is really not discussed much on trans sites *rolleyes* here is what I have gathered.
1) managing the anti-androgens. That is to say switch on and off to get the results from estrogen while maintaining "functionality".
2) Viagra works on Transwomen
3) Most surgeons in the US won't do feminization surgeries without a note from your Dr indicating that you are in transition (ie on hormones). However, many of the places outside of the US will do so. Do a search for "Facial Feminization" and you will find cosmetic surgeons in Thailand, Brazil and Mexico willing to do what you need done.
The issue with limiting the anti-androgens is that you will find the desired results of estrogen take longer or are less pronounced (longer breast development, slower fat migration, less effect on body hair).

Thank you. That is the most information I've ever gotten on the topic.
Anyone else with information they wish to share can do so here in the thread for all to benefit from it, or message me privately if you prefer.
