Best of luck to you! But planes aren't that bad. It's actually one of the safest forms of transport, and statisically, you have a higher chance of dying because of driving than flying :)

LOL whenever I think about major things like planes, trains, etc, I always think of the line from the movie ARMAGEDDON, when they're being strapped down in the Space Shuttle right before take-off:

Rockhound (played by Steve Buscemi): You know we're sitting on four million pounds of fuel, one nuclear weapon and a thing that has 270,000 moving parts, all built by the lowest bidder. Makes you feel good, doesn't it?

Jen!! Best of luck. Take care! If you don't mind, I'm curious who you are seeing for the surgery. I have a couple of gals looking for FFS who can't afford Dr Osterhaus. So, if you found the Dr and the facilities to be good I'd like to have a more affordable place to recommend.

Remember.. the key to recovery is to rest that part of the body... ;):respect:

I can understand breast enhancement, but cock removal! I don't understand that! I am a man and my cock is my most precious possession, removing it would be equivalent to dying. :turnoff:
I enjoy feeling my inner female urges but I am not about to discard my masculinity.:turnon:
I do hope Jen is doing the right thing for her, its her decision.:respect:

Well.. I'm NOT a man - regardless of my history. While I am pretty neutral about having a penis - some gals need to alter their genitalia to match the internal mind-map of their own body.

It is also practical in a day-to-day existence. You see, in most states you can't get your legal documents changed until you have a vagina. It makes it hard to work when the Office of Homeland Security mails your company to tell them something is amiss and you may be either a fraud or a terrorist.

Expressing "inner female urges" is swell.. I guess.. I don't have those. I just have my feelings and urges. Since I identify as trans*female, that makes those urges "female". You know my "female" urges to cuddle with a lover, hold a new-born baby, shoot zombies in a video game, change the oil in a car. Every feeling and urge is neither male nor female... transitioning is about matching one's body with their internal understanding of that body. If that understanding includes a vagina then that's what she needs to do.

As "sexy" as Shemales are and as much as the world as recently turned bodies like mine into a fetish. The reality is, transition for so many of us is a matter of life or death. The need to transition can't be fully understood by those who don't feel the need.

CuriousJim

randolph, some 'men' feel that they simply are not supposed to be born that way. They believe that they were supposed to female, and in some cases, hormonal and genetic imbalances agree that is the case.

Gender reassignment is something which a person decides to do overnight, in fact it takes a long process and people that serious about having a sex change would not be too bothered about losing their penis.

I didn't mean to challenge what somebody else wants to do with their body.
The mind is in control but it can change over time as it learns new information.
Tantra was my transformation. Becoming aware of the sexual duality within, gave me a whole new view of maleness and femaleness. I now enjoy looking at lovely females and transexuals without feeling frustrated that I cant have sex with every one I see. I enjoy their beauty and their humanity.:respect:

I'm not sure what you're reading in this thread, but Jennifer's first post clearly indicates that she is going to Thailand for surgery. Subsequent posts by others indicate the type of surgery. So just how much fun do you think Jennifer is going to have?

Congratulations Jen (same name as my TS Girlfriend by the way) ... ;)

Was your surgery performed by the great Dr Suporn by any chance ?

My Girl feels she needs a little FFS (Facial Feminisation Surgery) .. she looked at Dr Suporn's website .. but then discovered she could get it done a little cheaper and a lot closer to home (UK) .. in Antwerp, Belgium .. personally, I think she looks fabulous as she is .. but if it will make her feel more comfortable .. then she has my total love & support ..

Take care .. Get well soon,

So glad you are doing well. Your nurse was right, you don't need to see it just yet. Think about it.. it's swolen and brused and probably a bit of a fright to see. When I had my first round of FFS I took a bit of a look and cried for a couple days - I thought I had been mangled. Even after it healed I was still so sure I looked like a monster. It's weird the tricks the mind combined with self-image can play on folks.

Anyway... So so so so so glad for you - time to relearn how to spell your name in the snow ;)

Hi Jen ...

Glad to hear that you're feeling better ..

I've recently (within the last 18 months) undergone major surgery (had both knees replaced) .. so I can identify, to a certain extent with how you must be feeling ..

I appreciate your advice re the FFS surgeon (whose name I can't remember) .. but my Girlfriend has seen his results & is quite impressed .. She has another consultation in London's Harley Street in the next month or so .. at which I'm going to be present to support her ..

Take it easy .. make the most of being waited on ..

I'm up and around and feeling a whole lot better still a little sore down below and my friend who came with me thinks i'm a prev as i tend to check myself in the mirror as i love how i look down there she caught me a few times and once caught me rubbing my hand agianst it, Going to the bathroom is a little messie as i still tend to pee all over myself  by the Doc assures me once the swelling goes away i'll be fine at least it does go straight up as i heard of a few post-op girls had that problem, And yes i started dialition with the stents or dildos which is what they are but they call em stents for some silly reason and as i was asked the answer is NO i have no regrets and i'm glad i had the surgery  Jennifer

Wow, just read this thread and I think it takes a lot of courage to do this kind of surgery, but it sounds like you made the right choice.

Maybe a stupid question, but is it true after this operation, you still might be able to have an orgasm?

Good luck with your recovery!

Hope you're well. x To answer your first question no my passport lists me as male as the goverment sees things in a very narrow view basicly if you have a penis you're a guy and if you have a vagina you're a girl, And when i get back home and rest up a little i'll take my paperwork from the doc and start getting everything changed to read female wonder if i'll have to pull down my panties to prove i'm a girl? Don't laught some of these people can be very dense and changing m2f Tgirl to female i'll get around to it as your the second person to point that out  Jennifer
