jokes. im a TAFE student (in australia our school system goes: Kindergarten, Pre-School/Prep, Primary School [years 1-7] High School [years 8-12] - when you finish high school generally you're about 17 or so, then it goes TAFE and then University, though if you're like SUPER smart and get good grades in high school you can go straight to university and not tafe. alternatively, if you dont want a huge study load then you go to TAFE. TAFE is for dumbasses and lazy people who dont need heaps of study to do what they need to, or is used as a stepping stone to get into universtity [kind of like a second chance for idiots])

If Its' a relationship based upon money, then I'm not so sure they dont care about age. A relationship has to be based on trust and sincerity. If so then how do you know they wont be having affairs (and acquiring aids etc) behind your back every time you fly home ? I dont expect to be more attractive physically at 65 than at 25. It doesnt make sense. Any views on this ?

I USED to be a system administrator. Currently I'm a Headend Engineer for a big cable TV company. I've been in the industry for about 25 years and worked at a number of jobs in it, including sys admin for the first cable company in Texas to have cable modems.

I agree completely. A relationship where one partner is preying on the other's money and putting on a pretence of love, is Business only. One is better off without such an absurd relationship.
The deciding factor should be strong personal affection; or Love.

Just heard from the people who were going to give me a really great job working with GLBT runaways. Seems that they can't quite get their funding together. Looks like I'm unemployed and looking for work. Problem is, I have a degree in Social Work and there is a surplus of Social Workers here :censored:. That and my focus is as a children's advocate, the laws in my state prohibit my working with minors.
Guess I get to feel the sting of looking for work as a transwoman whose documentation doesn't all quite match up. Because of my birth state's refusal to change the birth certificate, I'll have some explaining to do if the job does any sort of background check...

Could be dangerous. Sesame might want a pound of flesh as debt repaymentI am not a moneylender, and certainly not Shylock! Shakespeare didnt mean Shylock by the title 'The merchant of Venice', ila dear, he referred to Antonio, the romantic hero! (that would be me :p) I'm always ready to help my friends. Friendship is the most precious thing in my life.
Shaky and I were good friends around the 1590s. He was deeply inspired by the high romantic strain in my character. Around 1598, I went to Venice to spend some quality time with my fiance. Shaky intimated me in his letter that he has completed a play based on my character. He also included my friend and his wife Portia in his play! He changed my friend's name on my request to Bassanio to give him some privacy. He mixed up our attorney Balthasar with Portia and added drama to his work. Clever man! Anyway, I allowed him to retain the name of my business rival Shylock as it is! :p We even went to a hunting adventure, me and Shaky! The poor doe turned out to be a runaway from his majesty's park! I explained to the guards that we thought it was a wild animal, but they hardly listened! Anyway, my wise friend Balthasar cleared our names. And Shaky immortalized him later in gratitude. :p

I'm a nurse
I spent some time trying to think of something clever, but decided on stating what I really do for a living: writer, editor, translator (French and German), and part-time university researcher in sustainable transit development and social networking.

Guess that makes three in a row (teachers)... :) I teach Operations Management and Quantitative Methods at a university in the United States.
Also have my own consulting practice (Project Management and Quality Control mainly).

I'm not a teacher, but I have done a fair bit of teaching in classrooms. My current full-time job involves working with computers (and I don't mean workstations).

I don't want to mislead you. I have taught a lot of different subjects in classrooms and I have been paid (quite well) to do so. Teaching is not my main occupation though. It is something that has been required of me in my former main occupation. I don't have a teaching degree, but I do have teaching qualifications. I was required to attend training sessions and pass various courses and tests (both written and practical) in order to get my qualifications.
I did enjoy teaching and I measured my success by the success of my students.
Well i am a machine operator technician in my city.

Are lobsters honestly considered bugs? Some bugs I don't have too much of a problem with, cockroaches though. They are impossible to catch:(

Lobsters are often called "bugs" but they aren't closely related to insects. They are both in a group called arthropods, which includes spiders, insects, shrimp, crabs and lobsters. They all have an exoskeleton, that is, they have no bones, their body is enclosed in a shell like hard skin.
Cockroaches are hard to catch because people have been chasing them for thousands of years. "Survival of the fittest"
By the way, if you are having trouble with cockroaches in your house, get some boric acid powder from the drugstore and sprinkle it around in the kitchen cabinets "away from food" where the roaches run around. The powder sticks to their bodies and they dehydrate.

I have been in "higher ed" for almost fifteen years if you count my time as a "TA" in grad school. Just got back from another day in the classroom--and other than being a little hoarse from talking too much... ;) I feel great. I honestly can't see myself ever doing anything else. There are not that many careers where you get to make a real difference in someone's life. It is nice when students remember you or come back to see you.
Each school year brings new challenges and rewards--it is like a cycle of growth and renewal. Similar to the seasons. Also I don't know of any other job where you have as much freedom to live as you like or express your opinions. For the most part my colleagues are very open-minded and tolerant of diverse views and lifestyles. :)

What's my job?
You mean the thing I do to get paid?
I run a small factory.
But most of the time, I'm outside playing golf...
:D What topics did you teach when you had the chance?
Some of the subjects that I've taught are leadership, management, telecommunications (radio theory, antennas, equipment), and lessons on how to teach/instruct. I've even assessed instructors on their ability to teach/instruct. There are other subjects that I've taught, but not as many times as what I've mentioned here.

*grumbles* Have you ever thought of moving, say to Europe? You can change your birth certificates here and there are laws against discrimination and disclosure of your history.
Architect here. Though I also paint nudes :)
