Well I'm not a 'shemale', but this has been my experience on it so far. This is a heterosexual cis male's perspective on it. And I'm going to be coldly honest here, just noting.

If you want an honest, long-term, emotionally fulfilling relationship with one then you are screwed. Why? The odds are really stacked up against you to begin with. Firstly, there aren't that many of them around, so if you actually do find someone online prepare to travel a good distance to meet with them. Second, because of the scarcity, you are going to have a difficult time finding someone you are actually compatible with("chemistry"). Third, aside from being emotionally compatible you also need to worry about sexual compatibility. Not everyone wants to try 'everything', or even what you may consider the "basic" things for that matter.

So who usually wins here? The easiest and shortest route are escorts. Not much to discuss there. If it's that's not your thing well...

You can try online dating. It's no walk in the park but it's the most realistic path if you want a relationship. Dropping the porno lingo will help.

If you just want to use internet dating for hookups, that'll work too as an alternative to the escort service.

That aside probably the most valuable piece of advice is don't assume things, and always communicate and ask lots of questions. There is no magic glove, one size fits all rule about it.

That's all a very valid point my friend, I find that one major obstacle against a successful relationship is the (at least in my area) stereotypes or impressions that surround the Transgender community...but I think to say that your pretty much screwed is not necessarily as prevalent as you suggest, I think that as you said due to the scarcity (quoting and for want of a better term) it's hard yes, but then again so is someone attracted exclusively to whites, or blondes, or fat guys, it boils down to honesty and commitment, and as such it may not be to everyone's taste

But your last point about no magic trick about it is the best point (in my opinion) you made, also thanks for participating in this discussion :D
