It'll probably look more polished on the PC, too -- as past conversions have done. Ironically, GTA began its life on the PC. Now PC owners have to sit and wait for the game to be ported over. *sigh*

GTA is an epic work of art. Aside being a complete blast to play, its satire works on multiple levels -- technological, corporate, social, political, religious, cultural. It must surely go down in history as one of the greatest set of video games ever made.

I'm not so sure about that. I'll surprised if they won't release the game by the end of this year. But yeah, if that won't happen it will be out around May-July next year. And I agree with TheSkronkDonkey, the PC version will be a lot more polished, and maybe it will jave all the extra content released on the Xbox360. I mean, it's Micro$oft's system too, so it makes sense.

And when some people are talking about piracy, as the biggest problem of the PCs, I have to laugh... It's big on the consoles too (GTA 4 was out days before too on torrent sites, just like Halo 3 or BioShock - LOL (http://img235.imageshack.us/img235/2532/libertybay2008es6.jpg)). What the real problems are: publishers, hardware manufacturers, Microsoft and shops selling computers.
Publishers, because they are pushing the consoles too hard and don't care about the PC platfrom as they should. If they release good games, with support, optimized for this platform, people will buy them, but if they just put out weak ass ports, gamers won't pay money for that crap. Check out the PC version of Iron Man for example. It's been ported from the PS2 with horrible graphics and gameplay, while the X360 and PS3 game was a lot better. :censored:
HW manufacturers & M$: they should work together a lot better to make the PCs less "compex". What I mean is, now there are too many different configurations and that's a big problem for developers. Well, not because a % of the configs can't run the games very well because if the devs give the players enough options to turn things on or off in the menu, they can configure the game to run well with more or less sacrifices. The problem is with so many different configs many things can go wrong, bugs and other compatibility issues can come up that the devs have no way to prepare for. This is why the big companies have to work more closer together.
Shops: Simple as this: they shouldn't sell weak computers for gaming. A lot of the PCs they put together are good for some things just not for playing with the newest games.
Also, a good PC doesn't cost too much if you know something about computers.
