I'm not sure where to post this but this seems the best place.
for any of us UK guys dating a foreign national who are interested in bringing their partner to the UK unmarried/civil partnership and general cross border relationship information can be found on the UKLGIG website and forums.
I know this may be a bit too "real" for a lot of the posters here but hopefully will provide some useful info for others like myself who are in a long distance relationship and want to be together.

Link plz.

I know a couple
UK & USA wanting to come over and have a civil ceremony.
Load s of grief.

I did suggest they use the traditional method of
hiding on a lorry at Calis, getting to Dover
and claiming asylum and a free council house.

I did this in Jordan when they refused to let me on the aircraft.
Male passport / just transitioned.
"We cannot let you board"
"Great. I'll stay here. Do you give me a free house or can I live with you?"
I repeated this to 5 military officers of rising rank.
After 30 minutes they were so really enthusiastic in me leaving Jordan.

They can spot trouble.
Me baaad!

Hi Jodie, thanks for showing interest,I thought of the smuggling route too but since we have laws in the UK to make these things possible I'm not in jail and my passport is not in the Philippine sea.I don't have enough posts to post the link but the second part of the url is .uklgig.org.uk/phpBB/ ,hopefully it will give some people a few pointers and let others in the UK know it can be possible.Best wishes to your friends Jodie,I'm not at the stage for applying for pcp visa but I'm hoping soon.

He just mailed me back, with good news:

Thanks for that, it's an interesting forum.
We have won our case now and....

So these things do drag on.
But get sorted. :)
