My, what messy wiring you have Jodie.

Shall I make a trip to London to cleanup your cabling?

I have old Acoustic Research turntables; an Advent reel-to-reel; one of the early Adcom CD players with the bias switch on the back for filtering out the highs of, say, choral music; a Luxman tuner; a Macintosh amp and pre-amp; etc. Fewer bells and whistles, more quality sound.

And for me, the music is everything. Unlike some gear-heads, I would rather hear a crappy sounding great performance of music than crystal-clear crap! (I listen mostly to classical music, so this matters a lot.)

Oh most of the wiring is the lead for the freestanding lamp
and an extension cable for my headphones.
But all said and done, I would be grateful to you
if you could visit,
#and your input most welcome.:blush::blush:

Some plastic cable ties would work quite well. You will be able to bundle your cables together as well gather together all excess cables by 'S' folding the cables and tucking them neatly out of the way. Leave you headphone cable free as you will no doubt want to be able to move your headphones around.

Dude, I totally thought you were making some kind of naughty joke there. But I guess you earnestly meant it, as is clear from your latest post.

I was quite serious although it was in a light-hearted manner.

Cables are a pretty serious thing.
My HiFi looses something when I unplug them! :p

Post your stereo pics, all of you
I'm feeling audio-horny...

Yours is def bigger than mine!!!

System in storage - Rega Planar 3 turntable, RB3000 tonearm, Linn Cartridge, Creek amplification, Mordaunt Short speakers - all pretty old, but a good analogue system.

I am pretty impressed with the performance of the little BOSE shown......may even go for the bigger model recently available, but if I get enough $$$ turnover this year I may have to treat myself to some heavy duty gear like yours......thats after I pay off my visit to Europe of course.

So, see you in July - will pm you when I am in London.

Peppermint is my preference.....or strong black coffee........
